Tijdens de zwangerschap wordt de uitgerekende datum vastgesteld als de geschatte datum waarop de baby geboren zal worden. Slechts 5% van de vrouwen bevalt daadwerkelijk op deze datum. De uitgerekende datum is in Nederland gebaseerd op de aanname dat een zwangerschap veertig weken duurt. Klopt het dat een zwangerschap veertig weken duurt? Op welke manieren kan de uitgerekende datum worden vastgesteld en hoe betrouwbaar zijn deze methoden? Wat zijn de voor- en nadelen van een uitgerekende datum?
